Purpose of the Position:
The Head, Process and Change Unit provides the expertise, structure and methodology to implement enterprise-wide efficiencies. Engaging a variety of techniques, this role assesses and analyses ways to support organisational
objectives by standardising and normalising outputs and encouraging a culture of best practice.
Objectives of the Programme:
The objective of the Centre is to provide trusted ICT services and digital business solutions to its Clients and Partner Organizations.
Main duties and responsibilities:
The incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Controller and Chief, Business Control Section (MSB) and will be responsible for the following duties:
- Improve management systems, processes and best practices across UNICC to support the business model, mitigate risks and maintain a competitive edge for UNICC customers
- Provide strategic advisory support in implementing and aligning organisational changes to successfully navigate change and contribute to the achievement of UNICC strategic objectives
- Coordinate organisational changes across different divisions and teams to optimise current practices across UNICC
- Develop and implement a corporate process framework across various functional areas such as operations, customer services, finance, human resources. This includes but is not limited to the identification of
opportunities to improve and create action plans, the formulation of processes in alignment with best practices and the implementation of methods to increase organisational effectiveness - Identify areas of growth and alignment, developing, strategizing and planning interventions to drive efficiencies across UNICC
- Support and engage stakeholders to implement controls across the organisation
- Promote standardisation across disparate activities across UNICC
- Maintain effective stakeholder relationships. Develop rapport and trust with stakeholders
- Bridge the gap between business and technical units to seek suitable solutions for complex issues
- Support organisational design and definition of required roles and responsibilities
Recruitment Profile
Experience and Skills required:
Essential:
- At least seven (7) years of relevant experience in enterprise transformation, organisational best practices and implementation of efficiencies
- Ability to visualise and structure enterprise-wide solutions
- Knowledge of methods to implement efficiencies such as a roadmap creation
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
- Ability in influencing others to move toward a common vision
- Strong knowledge of UN system governance and processes
- Proven track record of producing value adding recommendations
- Ability to deliver organisational changes effectively
- Strong capabilities in engagement and facilitation of a group environment
- Ability to develop and document solid structures for business process’ transformation and optimisation
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks whilst recognising structural issues and functional interdependencies
- Ability to guide and support stakeholders in implementing changes related to business optimization or transformation
- Ability to assist stakeholders in envisioning and understanding the end goal
- Ability to produce high quality reporting and effectively summarise findings for implementation
Desirable:
- Experience in undertaking strategic engagements
- Proven experience in implementation of Standard Management Systems (ISO/IEC or similar)
- Proven experience on internal control design and/or review
Education*:
Essential:
- Advanced university degree in Business, Business Administration, International Relations or related field
Desirable:
- PROSCI Change Management certification or other change management certification
- PRINCE2 or similar project management qualification
- Training in business process optimization
- Certified/trained in international standards, including but not limited to ISO/IEC 20000, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 22301, ISO/IEC 31000
- CISA certification
Languages:
- English: Expert knowledge is required
- Knowledge of another UN language is an asset

Annual Salary Estimation (net of tax at single rate):
- Valencia, (Spain) including post adjustment (36,7% on March 2024): US$ 103,347
