Purpose of the Position:

The Cybersecurity Administrator will strengthen the Cybersecurity Governance team structure by providing support to the security awareness service.

Objectives of the Programme:

The objective of the Centre is to provide trusted ICT services and digital business solutions to its Clients and Partner Organizations.

Main duties and responsibilities:

As part of the security awareness service team, the incumbent will report to the Information Security Specialist in the Cybersecurity Governance Unit (CSG), within the Cybersecurity Services Division (CS) and will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Under guidance, propose and establish a calendar of security awareness activities and monitor its execution
  • In collaboration with the Head, CSG and the appropriate team members, s contribute to the design, based on security awareness platform contents, of the following courses:
    • CBT awareness courses on general security and privacy topics that can be made mandatory for all users
    • CBT awareness courses for focused groups and risky user groups
    • CBT courses for executive management
    • Draft Reinforcement material like posters, quizzes, and newsletters
  • Participate in the development and execution of phishing simulations in line with the goals of the awareness programme and as a part of the ongoing security awareness service
  • Operate the chosen security awareness platform
  • Contribute to the coordination of system integration and customization activities between the vendor and service subscribers
  • Provide quarterly awareness assessment reports to include phishing statistics and course completion metrics
  • In collaboration with the appropriate service manager, propose continuous improvement of the standardized framework used to deliver Information Security Awareness services to subscribers
  • Provide other ad hoc support either within the team or in other teams as required – this includes the participation in special projects or support to service delivery for short period of time on a part-time or full time basis upon request from the senior management

Recruitment Profile

Experience and Skills required:

Essential:

  • At least five (5) years working in information security, including  Experience in security awareness consulting projects
  • Ability to operate Information Security Awareness platforms (e.g., Terranova, Knowbe4, ProofPoint, Cofense, Living Security, GoPhish etc…)
  • Expeirnce in successful security awareness projects
  • Experience in medium/complex size projects
  • Good knowledge of information security risks, risks mitigation strategies and the different elements that constitute risk
  • Ability to understand technical and business aspects of IT risk, and to communicate them. Basic HTML and CSS knowledge to customize landing pages and feedback pages to organize phishing simulations
  • Experience in working with Microsoft office tools and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to learn on the job
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

 Desirable:

  • Knowledge of common information management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, ITIL, COBIT, etc.
  • Project management skills Linux and Windows scripting skills
  • Basic knowledge of UN  organizations

Education*:

Essential:

  • Successful completion of secondary school education or its equivalent, supplemented by specialized training in IT

Desirable:

Certifications like CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSP or similar

Languages:

  • English: Expert knowledge is required
  • Knowledge of the local language of the Duty Station is an advantage

Eligibility:

This position is subject to local recruitment pursuant to staff rule 4.4 of the United Nations Staff Rules. All staff in the General Service and related categories shall be recruited in the country or within commuting distance of each office, irrespective of their nationality and of the length of time they may have been in the country. A staff member subject to local recruitment shall not be eligible for the allowances or benefits exclusively applicable to international recruitment.

Compensation:

Annual Salary Estimation (net of tax at single rate):

  • Brindisi: EUR 31,065
  • Rome: EUR 41,385
  • Valencia: EUR 39,799
