Purpose of the Position:
Within the Cyber Security Operations team, the incumbent will provide support and guidance to the Cyber security operations centre (cSOC) Tier1 analysts in supporting cSOC technologies and delivering a 24×7 security monitoring service.
Objectives of the Programme:
The objectives of the Centre, as stated by its mandate, are to provide information and communication technology (ICT) services (including training) on an inter-organizational basis.
Main duties and responsibilities:
The incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Head, Cyber Security within the Security Operations division and in close collaboration with other CPI teams. The incumbent could be requested to do any others tasks of similar level in related fields.
Under guidance, the incumbent will perform following duties:
- Plan and monitor the shifts chedule required to support the 24×7 cSOC security monitoring to ensure full coverage
- Support the technical and procedural activities for onboarding new cSOC clients
- Help translate customer requirements in SOC technical implementation solutions (e.g. AV, EDR, SIEM)
- Identify any issues as they arise with SOC Technologies and propose solutions for remediation
- Maintain and customize scripts for manipulation of multiple data sources to support customer monitoring requirements
- In collaboration with the SOC team, act as focal point for cSOC related matters between UNICC and partner organizations
- Coordinate the renewal of licenses of the SOC Technologies
- Provide technical guidance and support to the SOC Tier 1 analysts
- Prepare and deliver the cSOC monthly reports
- Generate cSOC KPIs for a wide range of stakeholders
- Ingest Indicator of Compromise in the technical controls and proactively hunt for new threats.
- Support Security Incidents and reporting, when required
- Contribute to the preparation of Cyber Security Operations commercial proposals
- Provide other ad hoc support either within your team or in other teams as required – this includes the participation in special projects or support to service delivery for short period of time on a part-time or full time basis upon request from the senior management
Recruitment Profile
Experience and Skills required:
Essential:
- A minimum of two years of relevant IT Security experience, including experience working with Network Detection and Response (NDR) solutions
- Proven experience in supporting Cyber Security Incidents
- Expert knowledge with at least one endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions
Desirable:
- Good understanding of Cyber Security Operations
Education:
Essential:
- University degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or related area
- Any of the following certifications: CCNA Security, Comptia CYSA, GCIH, CISSP, CISA, Splunk Fundamentals 1 or 2
Languages:
- English: Expert knowledge is required

Compensation:
Annual Salary Estimation (net of tax at single rate):
- Valencia, (Spain) including post adjustment (27,5% on December 2021): US$ 62,798
