Purpose of the Position:

The Hyperautomation Engineer will interact with ICC’s Client organizations to help analysing business needs, developing fit-for-purpose solutions, and facilitating the implementation of these solutions across various digital technology domains, with primary focus being on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and associated technologies.

Objectives of the Programme:

The objectives of the Centre, as stated by its mandate, are to provide information and communication technology (ICT) services (including training) on an inter-organizational basis.

Main duties and responsibilities:

The incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Head, Hyperautomation Solutions, within the Client and Projects Division (CP), and in close collaboration with the Hyperautomation (RPA+) Center of Excellence (CoE) Team.

The incumbent could be requested to do any other tasks of similar level in related fields. S/he will more specifically:

• With the Head, Hyperautomation Solutions, interact with different external (client) and internal (technical teams) stakeholders to help expanding business needs into requirements and explore best possible and cost-effective technology solutions
• Engage in development and implementation of the required solutions, by working closely with different technical teams and developers, during the different project phases
• Prepare artefacts, analysis reports and solution designs that comply with business prerequisites
• Under guidance, provide first level guidance on Hyperautomation best practices to clients as well as internal teams
• Contribute to build prototypes for emerging technology, testing and knowledge transfer to technology teams
• Support the Hyperautomation Center of Excellence (CoE) team in exploring technology options, buy vs build decisions and suggesting technology options
• Interact with clients and support the CoE team during the sales cycle
• Provide technical support to colleagues within ICC on RPA technologies
• Keep abreast of latest technology trends to feed ICC technological strategies and to deliver innovative solutions in a swiftly changing ecosystem
• Assist in the evaluation, configuration and installation of new Hyperautomation (RPA+) product releases in accordance with established configuration management standards
• Assist the support teams in the deployment of tools and in the implementation of processes to assist in operational support;
• Perform knowledge transfers between the CoE delivery/support transition teams
• Assist in the development and in the updating of software applications related documentation, including technical documentation and system reports, attend operational and other meetings
• Provide other ad hoc support either within your team or in other teams as required – this includes the participation in special projects or support to service delivery for short period of time on a part-time or full time basis upon request from the senior management.

Experience and Skills required:

• At least two years of progressing experience in developing integrated solutions within a broad technical context; including experience in multi-cultural and global international environment
• Experience in Hyperautomation (RPA+) technical design with experience implementing enterprise hyperautomation solutions within an RPA CoE

• Technical Knowledge required:

  • Technology Understanding: Good understanding of one or more technology-sets, inter-alia, RPA, Enterprise applications (ERP, Document/Knowledge/Records management), bespoke application development that include RPA, AI, NLP, ML, Advanced OCR and Hyperautomation Lifecycle Management platforms
  • Tools: Familiarity with anyone of toolsets such as Atlassian stack, Azure DevOps, Github or Gitlab
  • Product Practices: Understanding of creating MVPs and outcome based product builds
  • Project Practices: Knowledge of different project management practices such as Agile, waterfall etc.
  • Security: Knowledge of data and information security

• Welcomes new technologies and proposes innovative solutions that propel business value

Desirable experience:

• Working for an IT system integrator and/or service provider serving external clients
• Experience of working practices within ‘not-for-profit’ International Organizations
• Understanding of UN eco-systems and ICC’s product and services
• Good working knowledge of multi RPA platforms like UiPath, BluePrism, Automation Anywhere and Microsoft power automate platforms

Desirable Technical Knowledge:

• Excellent working knowledge of multiple RPA platforms like UiPath, BluePrism, Automation Anywhere and Microsoft power automate platforms
  • Hyperautomation Lifecycle management tools, Business Process automation-fit modelling
  • Experience in RPA and associated Advanced OCR, AI, ML & NLP platforms
  • System administration experience in build and manage complex services with Hyperautomation
  • Experience in drafting technical documentation & facilitating solution design.
  • Understanding of ICT Infrastructure components
  • Understanding of IT Service delivery processes

Education: 

Essential:

• Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

Desirable:

• Certifications and advanced training in RPA Advanced Development, Document Understanding frameworks and Intelligent document processing
• ITIL Certification

Languages:

• English: Expert knowledge is required
• Spanish: Intermediate knowledge is desirable
• Other language: Beginner’s level of another UN official language is desirable

Annual Salary Estimation (net of tax at single rate), including post adjustment (36,9% on December 2020): 64,783 USD$
