Join us for the UNICC AI Hub Launch Event, a high-level convening to mark the official inauguration of the AI Hub. The event aims to foster dialogue, partnerships, and technical engagement around the Hub’s offerings, while unveiling four strategic tracks designed to strengthen AI governance and capacity across the multilateral system.
Bringing together UN agencies, Member States, private sector partners, academia, and civil society, the launch event serves as a platform for collaboration, showcasing the potential of AI to support the mandates of the UN and accelerate the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The event will begin with a presentation introducing the UNICC AI Hub, outlining its operating model and strategic value for the UN family. This session will contextualize the Hub as a shared resource for governance, innovation, and capacity building across the UN system.
Following the opening, the agenda will feature a strategic conversation to explore what is needed to build responsible AI capacity across the UN system, including developing shared resources, ethical frameworks, secure experimentation environments, and robust cybersecurity safeguards. Contributions will draw from diverse perspectives across academia, the UN system, and the private sector. The discussion will help lay the groundwork for understanding the rationale behind the UNICC AI Hub and the collaborative opportunities it offers to transform the deployment of AI across the UN system, enhancing operational efficiency and promoting coherence in responsible innovation.
The final session will formally introduce the AI Hub’s four initial flagship tracks. Participants will be invited to engage with each of the corresponding multistakeholder working groups, with guidance on how to contribute to their development.
