Knowledge sharing and collaboration are central to the work of the IFI Planning, Budgeting, and Performance Management Network, which brings together professionals from International Financial Institutions to exchange knowledge, share resources, and collaborate on planning, budgeting, and performance management. To better support this collaboration, the Network has launched a new digital platform, with the United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC) supporting its migration and modernization.
Working closely with the IFI Network Coordinator, the OPEC Fund as the platform host, and the Asian Development Bank as the former platform host, UNICC served as the technology partner for the initiative, helping transition the Network’s platform to a modern digital environment while preserving valuable knowledge built over years of collaboration.
Modernizing a Platform for Collaboration
The modernization extended well beyond the migration itself. Existing content, including web pages and documents, was reorganized into a structured format, making information easier to search, browse, and manage. The updated platform also delivers a more intuitive experience for both members accessing information and content managers responsible for maintaining the site.
Hosted on UNICC’s managed cloud infrastructure, the solution is built on Drupal, an open-source content management platform that provides flexibility for future development. Ahead of launch, the platform underwent a dedicated security risk assessment and penetration test, with additional security controls implemented to further strengthen its security.
Beyond the launch, UNICC will continue providing managed support services to help keep the platform secure, stable, and up to date with the latest security patches, providing the Network with a reliable and sustainable platform that can continue evolving alongside its members’ needs.
Partnership Driving Long-Term Value
The launch marks an important milestone for the Network, equipping its members with a modern digital environment designed to support collaboration today while adapting to the Network’s future needs. The project also demonstrates how long-term partnerships can help international organizations modernize essential digital services while preserving the knowledge and expertise built over years of collaboration.
“In 2009, I developed the first version of the platform. After reviewing all available IT options, I advocated for UNICC as the best aligned partner, given its solid governance model, strong security standards, and multilateral mandate. Our successful collaboration has resulted in a modern and resilient knowledge‑sharing platform for the IFI community.”

This project reflects UNICC’s commitment to helping international organizations modernize critical digital services through secure, scalable, and sustainable solutions. By combining technology expertise with a shared-services approach, UNICC supports partners in strengthening the digital foundations that enable them to collaborate more effectively and focus on delivering their mandates.
