Common Secure Conference
UNICC hosts an annual Common Secure Conference with the goal to bring its cybersecurity Clients and Partners Organizations together to increase the UN family circle of trust, share intelligence on cyber practices and provide feedback on UNICC Common Secure services. The multi-day workshop blends vendor and regional stakeholder sessions with feedback, presentations and input from participating Agencies as well as some public and open sessions.
Cyber criminals are collaborating more and more so cybersecurity professionals need to step up on sharing intelligence and information to keep pace with cyber criminals. Common Secure members can envision a UN family to collect and share information to keep our Agencies secure and aware.

The conference gathered cybersecurity experts from the UN system, international organizations, and industry to explore the theme “Embracing AI in Cybersecurity.” Discussions focused on AI-driven opportunities, risks, and collective approaches to strengthening cyber resilience.

The 6th Annual Common Secure Conference fostered dialogue and collaboration among the UN system, international organizations, the private sector, and other partners, addressing shared cybersecurity challenges and opportunities.

The 2023 conference convened UN and international organizations, along with private-sector partners, to strengthen collaboration and develop synergies around collective cybersecurity priorities.

Common Secure Conference 2022
3-7 October 2022 | Hybrid
The conference brought together UNICC Clients and Partners to strengthen the UN cybersecurity community, exchange threat intelligence, and review Common Secure services. The five-day agenda included sessions on threat landscapes, data protection, and UN Privileges and Immunities, along with networking, incident response training, and cyber exercises.

16-24 November 2024 | Virtual
Held over two weeks, the conference gathered nearly 200 participants from 33 organizations. It featured open sessions with external speakers and internal sessions for the Common Secure community, covering evolving cybersecurity trends and shared operational needs.

The conference gathered over 100 participants from more than 30 UN agencies and international organizations for multi-day sessions, followed by additional meetings in February and April 2021.

12-13 June 2022 | Valencia, Spain
The first conference introduced the new CSOC Centre of Excellence, with participation from UN agencies onsite and remotely, as well as partners including CCN-CERT, Cynet, IBM, Microsoft, Qintel, and the Valencia City Security Operations Centre.
