Recruitment Profile

Purpose of the position:

UNICC is offering a great opportunity to acquire practical experience in and direct exposure to a whole range of Talent Management activities. The dynamic Talent team, within the broader HR section (MSH), is managing a number of exciting projects covering the whole HR spectrum and partners with Managers in our 5 duty stations. The selected intern will support the Talent acquisition and outreach efforts, including an HR analysis component, as part of the Selection and Recruitment activities of UNICC.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the HR Officer (Talent) in the Talent Management Team, the Intern will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition (70% of the time)

  • Support the HR Officer in reviewing the requirements and profiles needed for approved positions, and in identifying best dissemination channels to attract best talent
  • Support communication efforts to attract potential candidates: posting vacancies on external job boards, promote UNICC on Social Media, attend career fairs
  • Engage online, particularly with the youth and women to promote UNICC’s Employee Value Proposition
  • Support the assessment process by contributing to candidates’ screening, setting up asynchronous interviews and coordinating the testing of candidates
  • Support in coordinating interview scheduling, preparation of selection documentation for managers and HR panel representatives
  • Liaise with interview panel members to collect their comments and endorsement of interview reports
  • Conduct reference checks for short-listed candidates
  • Contribute to different HR projects related to Talent Acquisition: implementation of AI tools, implementing measures promoting gender parity and diversity as well as youth programs

Position Management and HR Analysis (30% of the time)

  • Support the position management draft and review process, ensuring document quality and adequacy to HR standards and best practices
  • Data Handling: Assist in collecting and cleaning HR data from diverse sources, ensuring accuracy. Help the HR data analyst conduct statistical analyses and create visualizations
  • Reporting and Documentation: Assist in generating concise reports summarizing key findings. Maintain documentation of data sources and analysis methodologies
  • Collaboration and Communication: Communicate analysis results to non-technical stakeholders

Education:

To qualify for this internship, applicants must be currently enrolled in a University programme (final year of a Master’s degree or equivalent) with one of the following specializations: Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Economics, Psychology, Communications, Political science, Linguistics or must have graduated in the last 6 months.

Work Experience:

Applicants are not required to have professional work experience to participate in UNICC’s internships programme, but applicants should have the following functional and technical skills:

  • Ability to use Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of a visualization tool, such as Power BI or Tableau, is an advantage
  • Excellent written communication skills with ability to draft various types of reports
  • Excellent interactive and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Strong integrity and ethics

Language:

  • Fluency in English is required (verbal and written)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Spanish language is desirable
