Purpose of the position:
The ICC is offering opportunities for students to acquire practical and direct exposure in a whole range of exciting areas in general international administration and finance areas.
Organizational Setting and Reporting:
Interns work five days per week (40 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the Finance and Procurement Section.
Finance Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of customers’ invoices and update related files
- Issue customers’ invoices and send reminders for outstanding invoices
- Assist in checking and processing the payment of suppliers’ invoices and update related files
- Perform activities in the asset management area as required
- Enhance current Finance site in StaffNet (intranet SharePoint site) to share documents with the team and ICC staff
- Perform other duties as required

Work Experience/ Knowledge/ Skills:
Essential
- Good computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Good accounting and finance skills
- Knowledge of SharePoint, WordPress, or Drupal in website administration and design
- Good interpersonal skills with people of different national and cultural backgrounds
- Meticulous, organized and a good team player
- Has good communication skills
Desirable
- Working knowledge of ERP Systems such as Oracle
Languages:
- Fluency in English is required (verbal and written)
- Intermediate knowledge of French language is desirable
Other Information
Eligibility:
- To qualify for an internship at ICC, the person must be at least 20 years of age at the time of application;
- The applicant must be enrolled in a course of study at a university or equivalent institution leading to a formal qualification. Applicants who have already graduated may also qualify if they apply to the internship no later than 6 months after graduation.
- The student must have a working knowledge (oral and written) of English;
- The applicant should not be related to a staff member as defined in Staff Rule 410.3 (eg. Son/daughter, brother/sister or mother/father);
- The intern must not have participated already for an internship within ICC;
- Finally, s/he must hold a valid passport of a WHO Member State.
The above mentioned criteria can be waived by the ICC Director on an exceptional basis in the interest of the Organization.
