Purpose of the Position:

The Business Applications Developer participates in the delivery and support services for Business Applications in Low-Code platforms like Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power Apps, and Salesforce for UNICC and its clients. These high-quality services are delivered efficiently to create cost savings for UNICC’s customers.

Objectives of the Programme:

The objective of the Centre is to provide trusted ICT services and digital business solutions to its Clients and Partner Organizations.

Main duties and responsibilities:

The incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the CRM Systems Solutions Architect (DDMS) within the Digital Delivery Division (DD) and in close collaboration with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Unit team. The incumbent could be requested to do any other tasks of similar level in related fields. Under guidance, the incumbent will perform the following duties:

  • Participate in the design, implementation, deployment and support of business applications solutions
  • Under guidance, create custom solutions (plugins, custom workflows, custom web resources, etc.)
  • Propose the design, development and testing of integrations, and implement them with external applications to interface with the solutions designed
  • Migrate data from different sources to the final system
  • Configure business applications environments for development, testing and production use
  • In collaboration with relevant focal points and vendors, participate in the resolution of functional and performance related issues , etc)
  • Identify technical problems, propose, and implement solutions
  • Follow the corresponding Incident, Problem and Change Management processes under the ITIL framework
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation as required
  • Perform other duties as required

Recruitment Profile

Experience and Skills required:

Essential:

  • Eight (8) or more years of progressively professional experience in Software Development. A completed university degree from an accredited institution will be counted towards minimum work experience requirements
  • Proven experience on the following technologies:
    o .NET, C# and/or JavaScript
    o Low-Code and Business Applications platforms development (i.e. Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Salesforce)
    o Azure DevOps and/or Atlassian Jira
    o Tools for external user interaction, such as Microsoft Power Pages or Salesforce Community Cloud
  • Experience in development and deployment of functionality extensions through standard mechanisms
  • Experience with automation and integration
  • Excellent knowledge in the deployment, configuration, and customization of Low-Code platforms
  • Agile project participation experience
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • Experience with reporting and dashboarding tools like Power BI or Tableau
  • Good understanding of the UN system

Education:

Essential:

  • Successful completion of secondary school education or its equivalent.
  • Low-Code platforms related certificate such as Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Oracle Siebel

Desirable:

  • Other relevant professional certifications such as Azure or ITIL

Languages:

  • English: Expert knowledge is required
  • Spanish: Beginner knowledge is desirable

Eligibility:

This position is subject to local recruitment pursuant to staff rule 4.4 of the United Nations Staff Rules. All staff in the General Service and related categories shall be recruited in the country or within commuting distance of each office, irrespective of their nationality and of the length of time they may have been in the country. A staff member subject to local recruitment shall not be eligible for the allowances or benefits exclusively applicable to international recruitment.

Compensation:

Annual Salary Estimation (net of tax at single rate):

  • Valencia: EUR 44,839
