Position Description

Purpose of the Position:

As the Chief, Strategic Digital Solutions, this post is responsible for creating and overseeing the growth of Strategic Digital Solutions services for ICC. The incumbent leads and partners with other UN organizations, industry, and academia on end-to-end Digital solutions to business problems by leveraging emerging ICC capabilities, including, but not limited to Data & Analytics, Robotics Process Automation, Security, Cloud services. This position would be responsible for developing and governing our Strategic Digital Solutions service strategy and delivery, in order to drive business and growth.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Chief of Staff, the incumbent works in close collaboration across all ICC teams and is responsible for the following:

  • Drive Strategic Digital Solutions practice development, service capabilities, and operating model
  • Partner with business customers and key ICC leaders to identify high-value, high-impact solution implementation opportunities with quantifiable success measures through to adoption
  • Lead multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams in programme/project development, implementation, monitoring and assessment; directs review of relevant documents and reports; identifies priorities, problems and issues to be addressed and proposes corrective actions; liaises with relevant parties; identifies and initiates follow-up actions
  • Manage both internal and vendor resources for successful Solutions delivery
  • Evolve execution of digital services to accelerate and optimize value delivery from Discovery through Adoption & Operationalization
  • Develop service capabilities with embedded frameworks, patterns, and models into sustainable, repeatable processes
  • Support effective Change Management for successful adoption including training, communications, KPIs, etc
  • Market success stories resulting from Strategic Digital Solutions
  • Manages outreach activities; designs and conducts training workshops, seminars, etc., makes presentations on assigned topics/activities
  • Serves as an effective spokesperson and establishes collaboration and partnerships with key officials at all levels inside and outside the organization
  • Ensures effective utilization, supervision and development of staff; guides, evaluates and mentors staff

Other duties will include:

  • Governance

  • Support ICC leadership in strategic and transformational digital capability development through incorporation of innovative and emerging services where relevant
  • Act as a strategy advisor within ICC and partners

Recruitment Profile

Experience and Skills required:

Essential

  • Ten years or more of progressive ICT and management experience, including experience in managing multiple groups of technical resources and technical projects; with at least 5 years in multi-cultural and global International environment
  • Team building and managing cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrable experience in information technology consulting across multiple business domains; specifically to senior business and ICT leadership teams
  • Demonstrable knowledge of digital services such as Data & Analytics, Robotics Process Automation, Security, Cloud services
  • Experience in managing large, complex, multi-stakeholder IT projects using structured methodologies such as PRINCE2
  • Ability to promote positive relationships between ICC, the client, and its customers.
  • Strong negotiating skills and interpersonal skills

Education:

Essential

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, MBA, or related field. A first University degree plus four years directly applicable work experience (in addition to the minimum experience requirement) may be substituted for an advanced degree

Desirable

  • Service Management qualification, such as ITIL or ISO 20000
  • Project Management qualification, such as PRINCE2
  • Professional training in communications, negotiating, or influence skills

Languages:

  • English: Expert knowledge is required

Other Information

Compensation:

Annual Salary Estimation (net of tax at single rate), including post adjustment (70.3% on March 2020): US$148,345 (net, single rate, including post adjustment)
