Recruitment Profile

Purpose of the position:

The UNICC Service Desk Unit is looking to enhance the capacity of the team, to support Process and Continual Improvement operations under the guidance of the Process and Continuous Improvement Administrator and the direct supervision of the Head of the Service Desk Unit within the Operations Division.

The main objective is to enable students to apply and complement the knowledge they have acquired throughout their academic training to prepare them for the professional world.

The Process and Continuous Improvement administrator is responsible for the identification of areas for improvement, development, automation, and process improvement.

Organizational setting and reporting:

Interns work 5 days per week (37.5 hours) under the supervision of a member of the Service Desk Unit (Valencia). 

Responsibilities could include:

Responsibilities may include part or all of the following:

  • Assist in activities to deliver shift-left and automation initiatives.
  • Assist in the development or improvement of activities in the Stage and Dev environments in Service Now.
  • Assist in identifying processes and tools that can be optimized.
  • Participate in reviewing the content and enhance the Service Desk knowledge base.

Education:

To qualify for this internship, applicants must be currently enrolled in a university programme (final year of a master’s degree or equivalent) specializing in areas that are relevant to UNICC’s line of business such as computer science, telecommunications, telematics or other science-oriented degrees, orr must have graduated in the last 6 months.

Work Experience:

Applicants are not required to have professional work experience to participate in the UNICC’s internship program, but applicants should have the following functional and technical skills:

  • Developing and/or scripting skills
  • Language fluency in English is required (verbal and written).
  • Excellent telephone manners, and interpersonal skills.
  • Some knowledge of at least one of the following IT areas: Scripting, Development, Virtual Infrastructure, AD Services, MS SharePoint, and MS Exchange.

Language:

  • Fluency in English is required (verbal and written).
