Position Description

Duties to be performed: Assisting with communications strategy design and implementation, building templates and presentations, working on newsletters, sales sheets, information briefs, etc. for our 60 clients. Qualifications required: Master’s program or recent graduate in the area of Communications with a focus on video, animation design, production and related graphic design skills. A demonstrated interest in ICT is welcome, with familiarity, interest, and expertise in digital technologies; Adobe Premier, Yvond or other animation software and tools; Adobe in Design and Creative Cloud tools. Well-developed design skills and a demonstrated portfolio of successful projects. Teamwork, creativity, accuracy of detailed project work, sense of humor, interest to learn new things and be part of a humanitarian mission. Work experience:
  • At least 2 to 3 years of experience in video design and production with user-end approach
  • Demonstrated graphic design and visual design experience
  • Proven understanding of communications deliverables, preferably in the UN setting
  • Experience of synthesizing, quality assuring, editing and compiling relevant information for video design, development and delivery
  • Effective communications skills to engage effectively with staff at all levels of the organization
Technical Knowledge:
  • Command good knowledge in writing and communications
  • Experience with graphic design tools

Video Production Support Under the guidance and direct supervision of the ICC Communications team, the Video Intern’s duties will include:
  • Producing animated videos of ICC and ICC Client work
  • Responding to requests for video support and material
  • Managing production equipment, including computer hardware and software
  • Publishing video products online via the website and social media
  • Support for graphic design and social media
  • Pro-active, self-directed, enthusiastic and well organized with an attention to details
Computer Skills
  • Adobe After Effects; Adobe Creative Suite; Final Cut Pro X editing skills (or Adobe Premiere) or animation software like Yvond
  • Production of animated content, motion graphics and infographics
  • Recording broadcast/professional quality video and audio
  • Knowledge of lighting
  • knowledge of different video formats and file conversions from multiple formats
  • Video publishing online and social media
