Recruitment Profile

Purpose of the position:

The UNICC is offering an internship opportunity to future graduates currently undertaking a Bachelor or master’s degree in Law, Security Policies, International Relationships and Digital Diplomacy to acquire hands on experience of implementation of Cyber Threat Intelligence and Brand Protection content delivery within its shared Cyber Threat Intelligence service called Common Secure.

The main objective is to enable students to apply and complement the knowledge they have acquired throughout their academic training to prepare them for the professional world.

Cyber Threat Intelligence team is responsible for:

  • Continuous and reliable information gathering from Agency members, commercial security firms, service providers, member sates’ security agencies and other trusted resources
  • Enhancement of the UN’s ability to prepare for, respond to, and mitigate risks associated with cyber threats
  • Shares timely, relevant, and actionable cyber security threat & incident information

Organizational setting and reporting:

Interns work five days per week (09:00 – 18:00) under the supervision of a staff member in the Cyber Threat Intelligence team in Valencia.

Responsabilities could include:

Responsibilities may include part or all of the following:

  • Definition of Threat Intelligence Requirements from a Brand Protection perspective
  • Assist with onboarding process of new subscribers to Brand Protection module of Cyber Threat Intelligence
  • Monitor alerts in Brand Protection dashboard and assist with fine tuning process of alerts’ accuracy
  • Assist with monitoring UNICC selected Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) sources and assist with operational writeups of alerts for relevant events
  • Perform other duties as required

Knowledge and skills:

Applicants are not required to have professional work experience to participate in UNICC’s internships programme, but applicants should have the following functional and technical skills.

Essential:

  • Language fluency in English is required (verbal and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Desirable

  • Good knowledge of MS Office package
  • Familiarity with global political affairs
  • Familiarity with cyber security risk assessment and governance principles

Education:

To qualify for this internship, applicants must be enrolled or have been recently enrolled or have recently graduated in a Law, Security and/or International Relationships studies.
