Position Description

Purpose of the Position:
The main purpose of the position is to help manage the operations, governance, outreach, and stakeholder engagement of the UNICC Cybersecurity Fund and related initiatives. Key objectives include coordination of relationships with donors, partners and other stakeholders; strategic event organization and related communications; organizing financial reporting, governance and the administrative activities of the Fund.
Objectives of the Programme:
The objective of the Centre is to provide trusted ICT services and digital business solutions to its Clients and Partner Organizations.
Main duties and responsibilities:
The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Head, Outreach and Strategic Partnerships (MSO) within the Management and Strategy Division (MS). The incumbent will perform the following duties:
- Support and coordinate the day-to-day management of the Cybersecurity Fund (CSF), including outreach initiatives, fund administration, project management, and financial reporting to ensure smooth operations and alignment with strategic objectives
- Support the management of relationships with donors and prospective donors, ensuring clear and effective communication, and timely reporting
- Act as the primary focal point for internal stakeholders, nurturing strong relationships with the UN and other multilateral partners to promote collaboration and information sharing
- Participate in the development of communications to promote the Fund’s objectives, raising awareness among potential donors and disseminating information on the Fund’s impact and progress
- Assist in coordinating the development of the Fund’s Terms of Reference (TORs), and subsequent meetings, agendas, and decisions of the CSF Governance Committee, ensuring compliance with the governance framework
- Under guidance and in collaboration with the Head, MSO, prepare and present regular reports on the Fund’s financial status, programmatic progress, and governance matters to the CSF Governance Committee, donors, and other key stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability
- Serve as focal point for CSF and other related events, including thematic development, planning and logistics. Maintain good relationships with focal points from donor’s countries and other stakeholders to facilitate event coordination and collaboration
- Assist the Head, Outreach and Strategic partnership, Communications Officer, and Outreach Officer in other diverse outreach and communication activities, as needed
- Other: Provide other ad hoc support either within the team or in other teams as required – this includes the participation in special projects or support to service delivery for short period of time on a part-time or full-time basis
Recruitment Profile
Experience and Skills required:
Essential:
- At least two (2) years’ experience in project/programme coordination and management or cybersecurity administration
- Demonstrated experience in organizing high-level meetings and events involving multiple stakeholders, including UN agencies, governments, and private sector
- Ability to work independently and to partner with stakeholders across the organisation, including a demonstrated ability to work with technology teams
Desirable:
- Experience working in the UN system
- Experience managing projects or programmes in a multi-cultural environment
*Education:
Essential:
- First university degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Political Science, International Relations or related areas
Desirable:
- Advanced university degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Political Science, International Relations or related areas
Languages:
- English: Expert knowledge is required
- Knowledge of another UN official language would be an advantage

Compensation:
Annual Salary Estimation (net of tax at single rate):
- Geneva, (Switzerland) including post adjustment (96,7% on September 2024): US$ 99,091
