Position Description
Purpose of the position:
ICC is offering opportunities for students and recent graduates to acquire practical and direct exposure in different areas of applications support.
Organizational Setting and Reporting:
Interns work 5 days per week under the supervision of a staff member and will be provided guidance and support to achieve all responsibilities mentioned below.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the resolution of requests and/or incidents related to applications managed by ASU – in Windows and/or Linux environments
- Review and streamline the process to set up a new application environment (servers provisioning, firewall rules amendments, etc.)
- Review reports generated by the monitoring systems, to implement follow-up actions and/or provide recommendations
- Prepare the necessary documentation for knowledge transfer regarding application support to Service Desk and/or identify any existing gap
- Guarantee that the different application environments are aligned
At the end of the assignment, the intern is required to write a short report on his/her internship experience.

Required knowledge:
Applicants are not required to have professional work experience to participate in the ICC’s internship programme, but applicants should have skills in some of the following areas:
- IT service management processes and/or technologies
- LAMP stack
- Microsoft SQL Server and IIS/.NET framework
- Basic concepts on configuration management tools
- Scripting in PowerShell and/or Bash
Desired knowledge:
At least one of the following skills would be desirable:
- Familiarity with automatic deployment tools and related concepts
- Familiarity with DevSecOps and related concepts
- Familiarity with third-party libraries and APIs to support mobile applications
- Familiarity with cloud based technology and related concepts
- Familiarity with docker and containerization technologies and orchestration tools
Language:
Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required.
Eligibility Criteria:
Qualifications – Candidates must have recently graduated, or in final year university attendance, specializing in areas that are relevant to ICC’s line of business such as Computer Science, or other related fields.
Nationality – Candidates must hold a valid passport of a WHO Member State, and the legal right to reside/work in Italy
Duration – Three to six months, starting any time during the year.
Remuneration – Successful candidates will be remunerated on a monthly basis as per UNICC compensaton policy.
Insurance – Health insurance is covered either by WHO or by a given university agreement.
Appointment – Selected students will be invited for an interview, after which a final decision will be taken.
