Applications are encouraged from all qualified candidates without distinction on grounds of race, ethnicity, sex, national origin, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation and gender identity.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #006cb5;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Purpose of the Position<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The incumbent will support the operations and coordination of the IT Strategic Sourcing, Planning and Control Group of the Information Technology Division of FAO.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #006cb5;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Objectives of the Programme<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>UNICC provides the digital foundations that support the digital transformation and future of the UN system and other international organizations<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong><span style=\"color: #006cb5;text-decoration: underline\">Main duties and responsibilities:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the\u00a0 Chief, Procurement Section (MSP) and in close collaboration with the FAO IT Strategic Sourcing, Planning and Control group. The incumbent could be requested to do any other tasks of similar level in related fields.<\/p>\n<p><u>Key functions:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of assigned programmes\/projects, etc.; monitor and analyse programme\/project development and implementation<\/li>\n<li>Review relevant documents and reports; identify problems and issues to be addressed and propose corrective actions; liaise with relevant parties; identify and track follow-up actions<\/li>\n<li>Design relevant policies, including the review and analysis of issues and trends, preparation of impact evaluation or equivalent studies, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Provide recommendations including background papers, analysis, sections of reports and studies, inputs to publications, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Lead outreach activities; conduct training workshops, seminars, etc.; make presentations on assigned topics\/activities<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate activities related to budget and funding (programme\/project preparation and submissions, progress reports, financial statements, etc.) and prepare related documents\/reports (pledging, work programme, programme budget, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Specific functions:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Consult and coordinate with the relevant divisions in FAO to advise management on best practices for IT procurement, contracts, financial and administrative processes, policies and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Ensure collective and supportive collaboration and communication by setting a recurring \u201ctown hall\u201d type meetings with CSI teams to address teams\u2019 concerns, update on current status, confirm procurement and financial situation and clarify inquiries of individual teams in order to ensure full understanding of the services and outputs of the ITSSPC team<\/li>\n<li>Make sure agendas of the \u201ctown hall\u201d type meetings are developed on cyclic timeframe by the individual teams themselves to address their needs and build a collective sense of purpose, trust and promote transparency in order to meet CSI strategic financial and procurement plans<\/li>\n<li>Provide expert advice on complex Scope of Works and take the lead with CSI counterparts in preparing case submissions to the Headquarter Committee on Contracts, monitor and control the budget of all CSI contracts;
