Additionally, the incumbent will enhance UNICC\u2019s profile and position it as the leading technology-focused entity within the United Nations System providing the digital foundations essential for the UN\u2019s digital transformation. A critical aspect of the Chief of Staff\u2019s portfolio includes oversight of the External Relations team, with responsibility for both internal and external communications and all outreach activities. The incumbent will also execute special projects and strategic initiatives as required.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #006cb5;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Objectives of the Programme<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>UNICC provides the digital foundations that support the digital transformation and future of the UN system and other international organizations.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong><span style=\"color: #006cb5;text-decoration: underline\">Main duties and responsibilities:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the UNICC Director within the Director\u2019s Office and in close collaboration with the Deputy Director and the Management and Strategy Division (MS). The incumbent could be requested to do any other tasks of similar level in related fields.<\/p>\n<p><u>Strategic guidance to the Director\u2019s Office:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide strategic advice on political outreach, external relations, communications, thought leadership, advocacy, strategic partnerships, resource mobilization and other strategic engagements, contributing to the effective and efficient delivery of the UNICC mandate<\/li>\n<li>Provide advice and support to the Director and Deputy Director in their strategic leadership roles, particularly in external relations and partnership areas<\/li>\n<li>Represent the DO at relevant international, regional or national meetings, as requested<\/li>\n<li>Execute special projects in support of the DO\u2019s strategic and external relations objectives, as requested<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Strategy implementation: <\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead or participate in working groups, taskforces, and meetings on political and external relations initiatives, aiming to enhance UNICC\u2019s visibility and resource mobilization<\/li>\n<li>Monitor UNICC\u2019s progress in achieving such objectives, ensuring efficient strategy execution and effective communication of strategic objectives and priorities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>External Relations: <\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide direction, cohesion and coordination for the External Relations team, including Outreach, Communications, and Strategic Partnerships functions<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement a vision and strategy for external political outreach for enhanced visibility and resource mobilization for UNICC<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the internal and external communications strategy, ensuring alignment with UNICC\u2019s mandate, values, and strategic priorities<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with Executive Committee members and other managers to align communications, outreach, strategic partnerships efforts, and the development of targeted external relations strategies with UNICC strategy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":13,"featured_media":54149,"menu_order":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"jobpost_category":[19],"jobpost_job_type":[20],"jobpost_location":[23],"jobpost_tag":[],"class_list":["post-65541","jobpost","type-jobpost","status-unpublished","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","jobpost_category-vacancy","jobpost_job_type-internal","jobpost_location-geneva-switzerland"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.5 -
