Viewing and Printing Our Site
This site is best viewed with a screen resolution of at least 800x600 pixels 16 bit (High Colour). Internet Explorer was used to design the website and is recommended. The website can be viewed with the following browsers:
Please use current versions of the above-mentioned browsers to avoid possible inconsistencies in appearance and/or functionality.
Our standard file formats are ASP, HTML, MS Office Documents format and PDF ( ). The Adobe Acrobat Reader can be downloaded free from the Adobe website.
To print a page, click on the printer icon ( ) found in the top-right corner. In the ready-to-print page, the printing will start automatically in IE.
Navigating and searching the site
The site navigation is driven primarily from a menu across the top of the page. Select any item from the menu and click on it to access the corresponding page. To come back to the Home page, click on the ICC image logo at the top-left corner of the page.
You will also find a "breadcrumb" header at the top of each page in the following format: . Each element of the breadcrumb is a link that can be clicked by the user.
For long pages, you can go back to the top by clicking on the icon at the bottom-right of each page.
We have provided a search tool for our site available on each page. In the search box
provided at the top of each page, enter a keyword(s) to search for and click on SEARCH.
This will execute the search and provide the user with the results.
Bookmarking our site
If you want to add http://www.unicc.org to your browsers bookmarks or favorites, please follow these instructions:
- For Internet Explorer:
Click on the following link -> [Add to favorites!]
that will automatically add the favorite for you, accept it by clicking on OK and organize or rename the favorite link as you wish in your favorites menu. In IE, we have a customized and standard icon appearing for the site in the favorites folder. If you do not see it in your address/location bar, click on the
icon in the address bar. Hold down the button and move the icon a tiny bit to the right and let go. Try this two or three times.
- For Netscape Navigator/Mozilla or Mosaic:
Point to the following link http://www.unicc.org, right click, and select 'Add bookmark for link'. The bookmark will be titled '', which is not very descriptive. You can easily change this by selecting the 'Edit bookmarks' option in the bookmark list, right click on the entered link, select Bookmark Properties, and write 'UNICC Website' in the name field. You can also add the link to your 'Personal toolbar' by dragging the link to the personal toolbar line. Note! On some versions of NS, you must add the link to the toolbar by editing you bookmarks through the bookmark tool
- For Opera/Other browsers:
Point to the following link http://www.unicc.org, right click, and select 'Add link to bookmarks'. In the dialog box that pops up, make sure that the name of the bookmark reads 'UNICC Website' or something else that is understandable to you. You can also drag the link to your personal toolbar (at the bottom of the window), or, for example, to any other link shortcut window in Opera. Note! You might have to edit the title of the resulting link, as Opera just displays 'Add' as the link name. Choose preferences and update the name
Page Updates
With Internet Explorer you can be informed by email if a page has changed on the site. To enable this option:
- Go to: Favorites > Organize Favorites ...
- Select the link to the ICC website and enable 'Make available
- Click on 'Properties', select 'Download' tab at top and enable 'When this page changes, send E-mail to' and specify your E-mail address and your outgoing SMTP server. Your SMTP server name can be provided by your Organization's technical support team.
- Click on Apply. Now go to 'Schedule' folder, select and configure your synchronization options, then click on Apply
- Click on OK
You may want to clean the browser cache and history files from time to time.
Recommend-a-friend
The
Recommend utility, found at the top-right of the screen, allows visitors to recommend pages on this site to others. It will send them an email with a link to this site's pages.
