ICC offers a high performance, secure and managed SQL Database service. The service provides access to a Microsoft© SQL infrastructure hosted either on ICC's internal network or in a dedicated DB-DMZ on ICC's peripheral network. The internal SQL infrastructure is accessible from the ICC BlueNet and is based on Microsoft Windows© Clustering; it is ideal for applications that do not require access from the Internet. The infrastructure in the DB-DMZ is available for access from web servers hosted on ICC's periphery and is a secure method of delivering data-driven applications to the Internet. In order to maintain the highest level of availability, the external SQL servers use log shipping technology.
