ICC offers a secure and robust internet email relay service capable of processing a
high volume of mail around the clock. The system provides high-availability through a system of multiple redundant servers
thus avoiding bottlenecks and single points of failure. The email relay service is SMTP-based and runs on 6 Red Hat Linux servers using Sendmail.
The ICC email relay system supports an unlimited number of mailboxes. It performs anti-spamming
and virus scanning on all incoming and outgoing mail.

Details
The ICC email relay system manages the internet and inter-organizational mail
exchange and routing based on the organisation's domain names. Users can
request ICC to register and manage their DNS.
The ICC mail relay forwards incoming mail to the mail server of the recipient. Organizations which do not have their own mail servers can
use the POP/IMAP Email service. Spam and junk mail can be filtered upon request based on the sender’s address, the domain name and other criteria while every single incoming and outgoing mail is checked for viruses with a
systematically updated anti-virus system.
Charging for the service is based on the amount of outgoing mail traffic per month in units of 1MB. Incoming traffic is
included in the service charge.
