Details
Mailing lists are created on the List Server in response to a request from an
ICC client.
Members are added to a list by subscribing their email addresses. Members can
hence submit messages to the list for further distribution to all members.
Members have the option of receiving only a digest of the posted messages.
Members can read messages, post messages, list members, subscribe and unsubscribe to the list. The list owner may run the list with no or little intervention or may choose a wide variety of options to manage and customize the list.
The mailing list service is based on the CERN List processor. A monthly fee is charged for each list.
Service Options
The list can be tightly controlled by the list owner who can e.g. restrict
subscription and posting. A list can also be left open for free subscription and
posting.
