Details
ICC has implemented dual-homed BGP-4 routing to two ISPs and propagates its networks to both providers. The BGP-4 configuration
permits automatic and transparent failover in case of any link or ISP failure. The BGP-4 configuration will also choose the best route to the Internet destination based on the route information obtained from both ISPs.
ICC’s Internet gateway routers consist of two high-end routers with redundant power supplies. Hot Standby Routing Protocol is implemented on both routers’ Fast Ethernet LAN interfaces.
Internet usage charges are based on incoming and outgoing traffic. Unit rates
decrease as the volume of traffic increases. The monthly subscription charge
includes the first 5GB of Internet traffic.
