New - Virtual Servers

ICC introduced in January 2006 the provision of Virtual Servers (vServers) to its client organizations. ICC vServers provide a wide variety of benefits including:

  • Rapid vServer provisioning from templates
  • High service availability
  • Zero downtime maintenance
  • Optional Disaster Recovery for an entire vServer image (ICC maintains vServer farms in multiple locations)
  • Temporary servers can be made available for a few weeks or months
  • Powerful management capabilities that reduce request response time
  • Virtual server environment completely transparent to both applications and end-users
The ICC service is based on VMware’s ESX server platform and the centre recently completed an upgrade to version 3.0.

Physical-to-Virtual (P2V) migrations can be performed for clients with existing servers already hosted at ICC.

ICC can help organizations qualify which of their servers would benefit from virtualization and has already carried out several such projects for major clients.
