Multi-policy virus scanning & Anti-Spam facility
ICC deploys a virus scanning technology to scan Email and take action depending on the results of the scan. Until now the virus scanning software has used a single policy which means that only one policy is used for all clients of ICC's email services.
As announced in the last IUG meeting of 11 April 2003, a multi-policy virus scanning software has been identified and ICC is currently evaluating both the efficiency and the flexibility of a number of offerings from different vendors.
A multi-policy virus scan will provide the ability for all ICC email clients to define unique virus scanning policies on an organizational basis.
In addition, ICC announced plans for implementation of an anti-spam facility that should significantly reduce the amount of unwanted email received by its clients.
