Upgrade of Internet Bandwidth
ICC has upgraded the bandwidth of one of its Internet access links from 22Mbps to 34Mbps in order to meet the demand of its customers. ICC has negotiated favourable rates from the Internet Service provider and, as a result, this upgrade will have no impact on cost to customers.
ICC continuously applies capacity management processes to its services in order to identify usage trends, predict maximum average usage as well as peak usage, and pro-actively increase or decrease resources to ensure the right capacity is available at the lowest possible cost to clients.
With the recent upgrade, ICC maintains two physically separate, redundant, load-balanced Internet links provided by two independent suppliers. The total bandwidth available is 54 Mbps.
To enhance resiliency, one of ICC's Internet links is located in the ICC Service Continuity Centre (SCC) while the other is located in the ICC headquarters Data Centre.
