ICC continually seeks out opportunities to improve and demonstrate the quality of the ICT services it delivers to organizations, funds and programmes of the United Nations system. To this end, ICC adopted the Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) which is the most commonly-used standard for auditing service providers.

The achievement of a successful SAS 70 Type II audit has required significant time and effort on the part of ICC. The Type II service auditor report can be used by client organizations to verify the ability and readiness of ICC to deliver managed, quality services.

The Type II audit activities were conducted by Deloitte from 1 December 2010 to 28 February 2011.

Additionally, the audit demonstrated that the average maturity level of ICC’s controls, measured against the CobiT Maturity Model for Internal Control, is higher than the average industry level of similar entities.
