Windows NT/2000 migration to Windows 2000/XP
ICC recently performed the migration of 350 workstations from a mix of Windows NT/2000 desktop clients to a mix of Windows 2000/XP. At the same time, data was migrated from Novell file servers to a Windows 2000 server cluster hosted in the ICC data centre. Approximately three months preparation culminated in the migration taking place during a single long weekend with no impact to the users during business hours. This rapid and successful migration was the direct result of the close collaboration and cooperation between the clients IT team and the ICC project team.
UNJSPF Benefits Estimation system
ICC developed a web gateway to a dedicated database server containing an extract of information held on the ICC Mainframe. This system enables participants of the UN Pension fund to perform their own pension simulations thereby reducing the work load on pension officers in the users organisation.
An architecture that combines a balance of tight security and access to data, enables UNJSPF's client to access relevant information in a secure manner.
Helpdesk Services
ICC implemented a set of processes to provide DPKO and its missions around the
world with round-the-clock access to support services. The ICC has established
helpdesk facilities, both in Brindisi (Italy) and in New York (USA).
As of first quarter of 2003, total volume of calls is 21,760, average monthly call volume is 1400, and problem resolution rate at above 90%.
